Hello Spring! Let’s chat oiling for the season.
It's officially spring, and I am here for it!! Bring on the sunshine (in between the rain), budding trees, chirping birds, open windows, muddy paws, dirty kids and endless amounts of laundry.
Mother Nature creates so much beauty behind the scenes during the winter months, and now it's time to showcase her handy work. This season of new growth brings a new, fresh perspective, and endless opportunities for putting your plant based solutions to work. Let's chat about all the ways we can use our oils this spring season!
Diffusing
When I think Spring, I think fresh, uplifting, and inspiring. I instinctively start reaching for my citrus, herbacious, and floral oils because they embody the scents and experiences of the season. Diffusing is a great way to support your body's emotional + physical needs, and most importantly, reduce toxic exposure by replacing dangerous chemicals in common household products.
Here are some great reasons to diffuse this Spring:
Seasonal allergy support - try 2-3 drops of Lemon, Lavender + Peppermint
Cleanse the air - the perfect addition to your green cleaning regime
Boost mood - get your citrus oils diffusing to uplift your emotions on rainy days
Some of my favourite oils for this time of year:
Blends - Citrus Bloom, Forgive, Air X, On Guard, Easy Air
Florals - Lavender, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang,
Citrus - Lemon, Lime, Wild Orange, Clementine, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Green Mandarin, Tangerine
Herbaceous - Basil, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Spearmint, Eucalyptus, Pettitgrain

2. Green Cleaning
Whether it's getting the urge to clean your house top to bottom, tackle the endless amounts of laundry from time spent outside, or organizing, the time for spring cleaning is a great opportunity to also clean up the products you're using!

3. Supporting Your Body
In the Spring, whether it's spending more time outside in the garden, being more active, or riding the roller coaster inconsistent weather, our bodies can definitely benefit from a little extra physical + mental support.
If you're anything like me, this season brings the excitement and the urge to get at all the things, but it's important to remember to slow down + appreciate the new growth in and around us.
