DIY Scented Candles

You guys know I love diffusing, but there’s just nothing like cozying up with a candle! The problem with most candles is they are full of garbage that you definitely don’t want to be filling your home + your lungs with. This might be a hard swap to make for some of you (coming from the ex queen of yankee candle herself 💁🏼‍♀️), but it’s one of the easiest ways to decrease your exposure to toxins!

The recipe is super simple and comes straight from the doTERRA blog. I grabbed most of my ingredients from amazon and scented them with Holiday Joy (aka Christmas in a bottle). They make the perfect host or teacher gifts, and are great stocking stuffers!

Here’s how to do it:

▪️3 Tbsp Soy Wax
▪️1 Tbsp Beeswax
▪️1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
▪️30 drops of essential oils
▪️1 Wick
▪️2-3 oz jar

🕯Melt solids in a double boiler.
🕯When the mixture has fully melted, remove from the heat. Stir in essential oils.
🕯Dip the bottom of the wick into the melted wax and secure to the base of the jar.
🕯Pour the wax into the jars.
🕯Allow the candle to cool completely + trim the wick.

See how easy they are to make in the video below. Can’t wait to hear how much you love them!
